  • Amazing camera system and gorgeous pictures. Im a novice and I like nature and family pictures and this camera has been perfect for both. Great quality, very light and weathersealed. Very happy with my purchase!
  • This is a great camera for anyone who is just starting taking photos. There is so much you can do with this camera that I do not forsee needing to upgrade as I will never be a professional photographer. The micro four thirds lens system is well supported and lenses are much cheaper compared to full size lenses. I have had this camera for 7 months and I am still learning new functions. The camera and lenses are small enough that all I need is a small bag for a lens or two and a good wrist/neck strap for keep it at the ready. It can also take video in 4k/30, but I usually just record in 1080/60 to conserve storage space on sd cards. The built in microphone is pretty good, but there is a port to attach a higher quality microphone should you need it.
  • I have been looking for a tiny form camera that takes better pictures than my cell phone (Samsung S22 Ultra). I am just the everyday amateur photographer. I have tried several high end point and shoots to no avail. I was a bit skeptical ordering the Olympus M5 but wanted to see if it really was as good as some of the reviews. In short, my answer is yes! The Olympus is definitely a keeper. The photos are day and night sharper and clearer than my phone and my wife\'s Iphone 14 Pro Max. The M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-45mm F4.0 PRO Lens is phenomenal. The form factor is very small, so this will be coming with me on all of my future travels stuffed away in my cargo pants pocket. In case you are wondering, the plastic body feels very solid to me. so I have no concerns regarding toughness. The M5 is weather sealed which is an added bonus. There are so many lenses to choose from. The M5 can be operated in auto like a point and shoot, or it can be used in manual with all of the options that one would expect. I love this camera.
  • I have now owned and used this camera for over two full years, so I now feel confident enough to leave a review. There are plenty of reviews out there that will talk about specs, image quality, lenses available, etc. etc. I will stick to things that I really appreciate about the camera and what I find disappointing.Pros:- Weather sealing is fantastic. I bought this primarily to take pictures while out in the wilderness hiking/backpacking and it has held up well. I\'ve shot in rain, snow, cold, heat, windy, etc. It\'s resisted all the elements (except for fire and with a weather sealed lens to match).- Spectacular features. Live composite is fun to play with. Focus stacking is super neat. Auto focus is fast and accurate. But my favorite feature has become the Pro Capture. I\'ve gotten into wildlife photography and ProCap lets you shoot so fast and the pre-buffer is essential when you can\'t time an animal just right. I am always blown away by how many cool features this camera has.- IBIS is still the best I\'ve seen. For landscapes and other static subjects, you can get down to slower than 1 second handheld and still have sharp images. I pair mine with the 12-100 lens and the sync IS is sweet.Con- Plastic body... When this camera came out I read all the reviews about the plastic body being such a let down and I thought, \"what a bunch of cry babies. Who cares if it\'s plastic or metal, so long as it doesn\'t break and shoots photos.\" Well, after two years of use and abuse, I\'ve got to say that the plastic body does have me worried -- specifically because I use the Peak Design Capture Clip. I have seen many horror pictures of people who use the same clip I do and the tripod mounting has ripped right off of this camera.I\'ve banged and bruised my camera and it\'s held up well. But there is a small crack that has developed across the body near the tripod mount! Ever since I noticed this, I have been incredibly careful with the camera and my use of the peak design clip. But this is such a bummer, because the capture clip has been essential to me capturing moments quickly and easily while out on the trail. For a camera that is really marketed towards adventure photography, it\'s a real let down to find out I can\'t use the capture clip -- an accessory that is frequently used by adventure photographers.- The only other con is that this camera isn\'t balanced super well for my really big (for 4/3s) 100-400 olympus lens. But that\'s to be expected when you buy this teeny tiny camera.
  • For those who think \" MFTs \" are to small and can\'t be taken seriously for \" Real \" Photography , think again !! This third follow up to the excellent \" OMD EM5 . \" line is packed with features in a small , easy to carry body ! As you can see from my sample pics , it can tackle ANY job and do it well ! Very pleased with this addition to my stable !
