  • First off: I\'m happy with this camera. It\'s a kid\'s camera that can print in black and white on rolls of thermal paper, which are easy enough to find. I love the look of the dot matrix print outs. They have a cool contrasty look, like some old newspaper picture. The pictures themselves --not the printed ones but the digital versions, are pretty low quality, but comparable to a similar kid\'s camera i own. So don\'t expect \"real\" camera digital pictures or even ones as good as your phone. The interface is a little funky, don\'t throw away the instructions until you have figured everything out. It\'s not very intuitive so it will require some time with it so you can teach your kid to use it. For example when picking options, it\'s the one that is greyed out and NOT highlighted that\'s the choice, which seems counter-intuitive. To delete a picture (not in the instructions) pick the picture and press the \"ok\" button for a few seconds and then you\'ll get the option to delete. All pictures have a date on the side and there doesn\'t seem to be a way to take this off.Can you use it to print pictures taken in a different camera? Yes and no. I experimented and it was able to print some pictures but not others. Here\'s one trick: it seemed to only recognize JPG\'s with the same file naming convention as the pictures it takes (as in it will accept a picture called \"PHO00004.JPG\" but not one called \"dog.jpg\"). And out of those it will only print some. I wasn\'t able to figure out exactly what it takes to be recognized. It couldn\'t find pictures taken with my \"real\" camera but it was able to read ones take with my other kid camera. And because those pictures didn\'t have the same aspect ratio, it printed them elongated. So when it comes to printing for all practical purposes assume that it will only print the pictures taken with the camera and not other jpg\'s you load onto the memory card. But that\'s fine, after all it wasn\'t advertised for that, though it would have been nice if it did print pictures taken with other cameras. So overall i\'m happy with the camera, but don\'t expect too much from it. The prints look cool and the paper is cheap to replace, so it\'s all good.
  • This little camera has been the biggest hit amongst all of our kids. The fact that it prints as soon as you take the picture, and so quickly makes it a blast! We have literally hundreds of pictures all over the house right now of absolutely everything. The camera comes with 3 rolls of paper, each seems to get about 75 pictures I think it is?The thing here is that the camera has \"achievements \" that you need to watch out for. You get awards (nothing physical, just on the camera) for 20, 50,100 etc pictures taken so...that uses paper quickly if they\'re watching that. The picture quality can actual vary. As seen in my first, peace tea pic, I took a picture using grayscale printing and another using dot printing. Dot seems overall much clearer and is our new default for any pictures. The dog pic, id taken a pic that printed, then printed the same picture from the memory card. Memory card print semes.to have printed just a tad more blurry than the instant pic. Not sure why this would be but the results are pictured here.Easy to load with paper, and I grabbed some small credit card machine thermal receipt paper that we will try in it once he gets back from his other parent\'s place. I figure we may have to reroll some of it as it may be a bit too thick of a roll but not an issue. Width side SEEMS that it should be correct. I will try to update once we try the rubber casing on this one covers the charging port just a little as well as memory card slot. Slot isn\'t bad but the charging port is a bit annoying.Sleeve stays on well but is removable as well if needed. Silicone I believe so holds shape and should be relatively durable.Image quality on a computer varies a lot by light. A good, well lit image actually looks pretty decent on a 15\" laptop screen running at a 4k resolution. Lower light or too bright not so good. Low light gets grainy fast and too bright oversaturates as well. But it\'s a kids camera. A cheap, instant print camera. And it\'s hard NOT to recommend with the experiences we\'ve already had with it. Even if never replacing the paper, but that really IS a huge part of the fun.
  • I love this alternative to the kids looking at pictures on my own phone. Now they can take pictures with a toy age appropriate for them, genius!
  • I got this for my daughter that loves to take pictures on her phone. She has been ecstatic with this and has taken dozens of pictures already. It is very simple to use which lets younger less experienced little ones use it and still enjoy it. You just point the camera at anything you want to photograph and then hit print. That\'s it! It prints out a picture of exactly what the camera lens sees. Very neat and addicting. I took several pictures myself before giving it to her and it works great. The menu is easy to navigate and even includes games that can be played right on the camera! It is wireless and so needs to be charged but once charged, it will print many many pictures before needing another charge. It prints very fast and looks really good for what is essentially a toy. They include everything you need in the box to get up and running right away. It comes with plenty of charge to let your kid play with it for a while before needing a charge. Everyone hates to have to charge a toy or device before you can use it but this comes ready to go as soon as you take it out of the box. They also include 3 more rolls of paper for the printer so you won\'t have to worry about running out any time soon. The color LCD on the back is very legible and easy to navigate. Very simple and fun camera that can spark some creativity within your little one. I haighly recommend this for any kids that love to take photos. Would make a great birthday or Christmas gift!
