- For a small compact little portable camera, it takes GREAT photos. So far, every photo (approx. 100) I\'ve taken has been clear & bright, with awesome quality. The colors are vibrant and this camera catches the detail of the object...just as I need it to. The auto zoom is perfect for getting the fine details of the object being photographed. When I edit the photos in my photo program, I do not lose any resolution...the photos remain crisp & clear.I purchased a 128 GB SanDisk memory card, which was simple and easy to \'format\' using the tools setting in the camera menu. After ensuring the battery had a full charge, I snapped some quick basic photos, then inserted the memory card into my PC memory slot. My PC immediately recognized the memory card, and from there, I was able to import all the photos into my photo program.NOTE: If you are contemplating purchasing this camera, be sure you get all the required items needed to transfer your photos from the camera to your PC. The camera DOES NOT come with any cables to connect to your PC. If your PC does not have a memory card slot, then you\'ll need to purchase a USB style memory card reader to attach to your PC to transfer photos. Also...this camera DOES NOT come with a memory card. You will need to purchase your desired GB size separately. Also, this camera takes the normal size memory card, NOT the mini-memory card. However, if you already have a \'mini-memory card\', then you\'ll still need to purchase the adapter to use your mini-card in the camera.CAMERA: As mentioned above, this camera is small and very portable. I wanted something simple and easy to use, and to carry with me wherever I go. This camera meets all the criteria. The menu for setup is very easy to use and understand. Choose your settings and start taking photos. I have the auto flash set, so I don\'t have to stop and turn it on. The camera will automatically use the flash (or not), depending on the environmental lighting. The viewing monitor is excellent and easy to see what you\'re photographing. It displays the battery charge and other settings you\'ve made. It\'s also simple and easy to review any photos taken...just by a push of a button.The only drawback I have is; you have to \'delete\' any photos one at a time from the memory card while it is in the camera. If there is a way to delete \'all\' the photos on the card at the same time, I have yet to discover that. I\'ve tried to delete all the photos on the card while it is in the PC slot, and after I\'ve imported them, but again, didn\'t see where I could conduct a mass deletion from the card. I\'ll update this if I find a way to do it.VIDEO: I have not tried taking any video at this time; however, that too is a simple and easy activation just by pushing a button. That\'s what I like about this camera...everything that needs to be done is by easy access buttons. I know that all I have to do is; turn on the camera, and then push the \'record\' button, and video taking commences. It\'s that simple.BATTERY: It took about 30 - 45 minutes to put a full charge on the battery with the included battery charger. That\'s pretty quick, imho. I may purchase an extra battery so as to have one ready to go all the time and to use while the other is charging. At this time, I do not know exactly how long the battery will last between charges, but I\'m sure it\'s dependent on how much use and how many photos are taken. YMMVThe battery is easy to access and to take out or put in. One just needs to take their time in doing so and not rush the process, so as not to damage the battery or little \'tab\' at the slot. The memory card goes in the same area as the battery, just in a different slot, which is again, simple and easy.Overall, I am very happy I got this camera. For the price point, it meets every need I have in taking specific photos in general. If you\'re looking for a camera to do \"professional\" photography, this camera is probably NOT the camera for you. This is more of a \"ready to go\" camera for basic photography & video, albeit, the photos I\'ve taken thus far have turned out GREAT. If you have a young teenager who is looking for a \'starter\' camera, this would be perfect for them.Hope this helps others in making an informed decision whether to purchase this camera, or not.
- I bought this camera several years ago to take to a wedding. The camera on my phone distorts images, so not good for photos you want to print. I have no photography skills at all, so I needed something VERY easy to use and I rely completely on the AUTO feature. A child could use this, so it was perfect for me! I took this camera out yesterday to take pictures after our ice storm. I can\'t believe the clarity, even when I cropped them down considerably and had large prints made. My only complaint is the screen. When taking pictures outside, both the preview and looking at the picture after you took it are not clear on the screen. So, until I see them on the computer, I don\'t really know what I\'ve captured. That said, the images I do capture were always wonderful. Also, the battery lasts a really really long time, unlike a previous camera I had. Very happy with this camera.
- Although I suppose the dimensions were stated in the specifications, I wasn\'t prepared for how small this camera actually is. If you have good dexterity, this might be a good thing. I\'m going to keep it because I need a camera and since I\'ve already gone through the bother of assembling the pieces, I\'ll give it a try. Relating to the size of the camera, know what you\'re getting. If you are young or have good dexterity, this might be just the size you are looking for. If you\'re older or have some arthritis, it could be a problem. There are advantages and disadvantages to the size. For me, I think it might be more of a disadvantage, but perhaps I\'ll adapt.The camera has a cheap feel to it, like something you might get at a Dollar Store. This, I don\'t like so much, as I paid well over a dollar for it. Of course, that doesn\'t mean that it\'s going to fall apart in a week, and if it turns out to be a long-lasting camera, I will revisit my review.Threading the strap through was a PITA but if you are younger than seventy and don\'t have arthritis, that may not be a problem. I won\'t mark off for that.The fact that you have to remove the battery in order to recharge it is a little bit of a negative, in my view. It\'s not like it takes standard AA or AAA batteries that can be obtained in a grocery store so unless you are willing to buy a spare battery or two, as I did, you should anticipate some downtime. It takes quite a while for the battery to charge, and spares aren\'t nearly as cheap as AA batteries. I\'d consider this to be a negative, but certainly not a deal-breaker.More importantly, it takes pretty good pictures; but most cameras do, at least in my experience. Given that most people are opting to use the camera that comes with their cellphone these days, cameras should produce photos that are clearly better than that of a cellphone camera. I like having a camera separate from my phone because I don\'t like the clumsiness of using my phone. This camera is easier to use than a cellphone camera. I\'m old, so I\'d prefer a viewfinder, but you seldom see them in cameras anymore.So that\'s it. This is a very tiny camera that could be difficult for some people to assemble or use, but this very thing might be just what you\'re looking for. It feels cheap but perhaps it will prove to be a durable camera. Only time will tell. It takes decent photos but not ones that are noticeably better than most other cameras.Later...Having used this camera for a few months now, I haven\'t changed my mind about anything that I said in my original review, other than the part about the quality of the pictures.The quality of the photos taken with this camera is just acceptable, at best. My phone takes much better photos, and I am not one of those who praise the quality of photos taken by an iPhone. I would much rather use a real camera. One of the problems with being able to take a good photo with this camera may be related to the size. Because of its size, it is very difficult to hold the camera still while pressing the button to take a picture. As often as not, the camera moves and the photo is blurry. I have taken some clear photos with this camera but there are an awfully lot of failures. I have to take three or four photos in order to be reasonably sure that I\'ll have one that is usable.Having to remove the SD card in order to transfer photos from the camera to the computer is even more annoying than I thought it was going to be, and I would much rather have a charging dock or an outlet to charge the batteries without removing them.I\'ll probably be replacing this with a better camera soon.
- Purchased for my father. He seems to like it well enough. (He\'s still complaining that it\'s not as good as his old actual-film manual camera. But there\'s nowhere nearby to get that developed, so he\'ll just have to get used to digital.) Picture quality is decent, and it\'s easy to use. Overall, pretty good little camera for the price.
