- I spent weeks trying to get this R7 body to work. At first I was sure I was doing something wrong or there was an issue in the vast menue settings. Focussing was highly inconsistent. I researched a lot of websites, Canon help, and the few books that were available. No luck. Returned the body. Missed taking it on my big Acadia National Park, Maine vacation (I took my Canon 90D instead).I ordered a new kit with lens from another retailer. After a simple full reset to factory specs, the New R7 worked perfectly with my old EF, and even with my old Pentax K and screw mount lenses with focusing chipped adapter.
