  • I\'ve had this camera for awhile now, and the pictures it takes are astounding. It may not have some of the features of the full frame cameras, but its a 1/3rd of the size and attaches to my telescope easily without the bulk and weight of a full frame.It\'s easy to transport and the all metal frame is awesome, but its paint is thin and I\'ve put a few teeny scratches on the bottom from mounting and unmounting it from tripods and stuff. The screen is bright and very highly detailed (better then my smartphone) my only complaint about it...is its a little hard to press if you don\'t have nails (has a included crappy stylus..but any old stylus works)but it does work in humid environments and is less likely to be damaged over time so its a decent trade off in my own opinion.as far as the software goes, I like the interface after getting used to it, and i\'m rather quick with it now. If you use the color pallet profile you can also use multiple color and silhouettes as well as some other settings (I\'m still learning) while shooting video which is a extremely awesome bonus as some full frame SLR\'s don\'t even offer that option. and its got more settings then you can shake a stick at in full out manual mode for taking photographs, although its not available in the video settings, it is a digital camera after all.. and what it may lack in video it more then makes up in photo lolThe flash as others have said is the best of the micro Four thirds small frame cameras across any brand in my opinion.. it\'s easily closed and open, as well as the fact you can hold it at any angle and pull off some spectacular lighting effects with it. Although it does seem delicate and i\'d take tender loving care of it (the camera tells you to close the flash if you go to turn it off with it open)Accessories are expensive for this camera though (as most any other camera of course) but some of the lumix lenses are 100$ more expensive then similar lenses on other ring styles.. but micro four thirds hasn\'t been around that long so down the road it\'ll drop off i\'m sure.. and most everything that\'s 52mm fits the end of this camera\'s 14-42 aspheric lens so adapters and filters can be had on the cheap. It takes spectacular video that can rival a full out HD video camera.. but... its sort of limited in some things. Theres no manual apature/brightness/contrast and the color controls are buried behind a few menus on the GUI... But even with those limitations i\'ve already taken some beautiful video and i\'d recommend if it your looking for a combination camera..that can do the best of both worlds on the fly 1080p@ 30fps. the dedicated video button is also extremely useful if you want to switch between taking video and photographs quickly.. though it took me a bit to memorize which button was video and which one was \"i\'m a idiot\" iR mode.If your looking for a new small frame compact SLR... I\'d highly recommend this camera as it hasn\'t let me down yet and I\'ve really stepped up my astrophotgraphy and regular photography with it. It shoots about 12.1MP but if you shoot steady it\'ll easily..print upwards of 24x29\" photographs and not look grainy or pixelated. I guess I can\'t say enough about how impressed I am with this camera, I thought I \"had\" to use a full frame SLR to pull off some amazing photographs. But this GF2K will hang with Full frames twice its price and make a few accomplished photographers jealous along the way if you\'ve got the eye of the tiger in your heart.look up my name on youtube if you\'d like to see example video!!
  • Condition was as described
  • I wanted to get a \"more than just a point and shoot\" camera to capture the precious moments of my first baby. Husband and I are not photographers and have never used anything other than a point and shoot cameras (various Canons Elphs and Casio Exlims) so we found the huge SLRs really intimidating and couldn\'t imagine carrying them around with ease. Then someone recommended the Panasonic GF1, a small DSLR, but told us that the GF2 was available and that we should probably get the newer model. So we did. Results were horrible. Photos were always slightly blurry. The camera gobbles up battery charge when not even in use. So it was never readily handy when we needed to take a picture. What a waste of $400 this was!PHOTOS ARE ALWAYS SLIGHTLY BLURRY--Since we need to capture baby moments that go by in an instant, the camera is always auto mode. But just about every shot is blurry, no matter indoor, outdoor, day, night, etc. We tried to manually adjust the setting but, the results are hit and miss and still usually blurry. The only time we used with any real success was when mounted to tripod and we were taking our own Christmas portraits at home. That took like 20 minutes of us getting the lighting right and trying picture after picture after picture. Not really an impromptu setting like what we really need a camera for.ALWAYS OUT OF BATTERIES--One thing that really infuriates me about this camera is the horrible battery life. This camera is literally ALWYAS out of batteries. I\'ve never had a camera that drains the batteries like this one. I\'m certain that it\'s the camera not the batteries. When we fully charge the batteries and put them in the camera and leave the camera on the kitchen table for 2 days, it\'s out of batteries again without even using it once. So almost every time we\'ve reached for this camera when a precious moment comes up suddenly, it\'s out of batteries!!! And my husband and I are scrambling for our smart phones instead. We really tried to use and love the camera and have read the owner\'s manual. My baby is 8 months now, so we\'ve been trying to use this camera for almost a year. Most of the pictures we have of our baby is actually taken by our Samsung Note 3 and Galaxy S4. Not great either so this camera really let us down. It\'s not like we\'re going to get those 8 months of her life back. I think we tried for so long because like I said, we are not pros, and thought that the bad pictures were our fault.Recently we went to dinner with a friend who has a Canon EOS Rebel (don\'t remember the exact model). We tried it out without knowing what we were doing. It took gorgeous photos with ZERO effort. We are definitely getting rid of this and getting a real SLR. Again, what a waste of $400.You\'ve been warned. Do not buy this. But if you really want to, you can buy mine. I\'ll give you a discount :)
