Fujifilm FinePix S3200 Highlights 24x FUJINON Zoom Lens and Dual Image Stabilization The FinePix S3200 boasts a super-wide 24x zoom with a 24mm-576mm optical lens in a simple-to-operate zoom lever, allowing a huge range to capture every detail, whether shooting stills or movies. With the combination of the mechanically stabilized sensor and high ISO, blurring effects of both hand-shake and subject movement are reduced to provide superb pictures. The FinePix S3200 also includes a Dual-Image Stabilization CCD sensor and high ISO sensitivity settings for blur-free images. Stunning Panoramic Shots The FinePix S3200 features the easy-to-use Motion Panorama shooting mode, which takes three successive shots with a helpful tool which automatically releases the shutter once the images are fully aligned to seamlessly stitch the shots together in-camera. No matter how basic the photographer's skill, this feature allows users to get creative and see impressive results with no fear of uneven landscapes or shaky horizons. HD Movie Capture Capture stunning movies in 720p with sound at 30 frames per second with one touch ease. With a mini-HDMI output connector, it is easy to connect and view images on your HDTV (HDMI cable not included). Perfect Pictures Every Time with Smile and Blink Detection Smile Detection recognizes the moment your subject smiles and releases the shutter only when this happens, ensuring a happy photo every time. Additionally the Blink Detection function warns you if any of your subjects have blinked so that you can re-take the photo if necessary. Face Recognition and Image Searching With Face Recognition on the FinePix S3200, users can tag and name eight of their favorite subjects and the camera will automatically recognize that person in every photo taken thereafter. In turn this allows you to search for all your pictures of any of these people, by name, using the Image Search function. Image Search makes finding the people and places you've photographed easy to categorize and find. This works in the same way for other categories of photo: the camera's SR Auto Scene Recognition technology registers whether you've taken a picture of a person, or a landscape, or if it's a night shot or macro shot, so you can filter your search by subject matter or even date and get straight to the photo you are after, quickly and intuitively. Social Networking and Photo book Features The FinePix S3200 offers in-camera tagging capabilities for both Facebook and YouTube, allowing you to select photos and movies for upload on either of the sites, making for easy upload once you connect to a PC and launch MyFinePix Studio. The feature saves you time and enables you to share your special moments with your closest social network. The S3200 also allows you to tag in-camera the images you want to feature in a Photo book, which can be viewed separately in-camera and later created and ordered in a Photo book quickly and seamlessly. Additional Features Tracking Auto Focus (AF): Tracks fast moving subjects so they don't escape from the frame in a blur. Subjects will be tracked automatically for as long as it is kept in the frame and the shutter is half-pressed; when users fully press the shutter button your subject will be in the centre of the photo in perfect focus. i-Flash Intelligent Flash: Offers a flash control system which efficiently controls the level of flash for a given exposure to produce beautifully balanced flash illumination across the foreground and background. Gone are the ugly washout shots where the subject is blasted with light and the background dark and unexposed. Full Manual Controls: Gives the user the choice of direct access to manually control the settings and shooting features, and the specially designed chassis includes dedicated command buttons for quick and easy key functions. Instant Zoom/Zoom Bracketing: Useful for high level photography. The Instant Zoom function captures moving subjects at high zoom settings. After zooming on a subject, a single button gives an additional 1.4x or 2x digital zoom. Zoom Bracketing automatically captures the same image three times with zoom ratio settings of 1x, 1.4x and 2x with a single shutter release. Continuous Shooting: Allows up to 8 fps for 20 frames in S mode. AA-Battery Power: Using AA batteries is convenient for on-the-go digital camera users as it eliminates the need to charge battery packs, allowing for lots of picture-taking and the ease of battery replacement.

Fujifilm FinePix S3200 14 MP Digital Camera with Fujinon 24x Super Wide Angle Optical Zoom Lens and 3-Inch LCD
- Update: It has been 3 months owning this camera and I have never been happier about owning a piece of technology.. It has taken almost no bad shots and lets face it, there is no way any camera is going to take a great picture 100 percent of the time right so why the bad reviews? Ive read them and cannot understand how this camera is not treasured especially for the price..I\'ve gotten so many compliments on my photography because of this camera it\'s starting to make me wonder if I should be a photographer lol...Seriously though, some of these reviews must be from people who do not know how to operate the camera. For instance my girlfriend tries to take pictures and then immediately gives it back and says you can take better ones..I keep telling her to gently push down the capture button slightly, hold it, then it will focus on what your looking at, after this is done then you push it down the rest of the way after it\'s focused to take the picture(Hold it steady)...This camera has a 2 step capture, if you just push the button down you will get a bad shot because it\'s not focused plus it has many many different auto settings like sr auto which will take better shots than normal capture mode...Plus the list of functions on this baby is so long that if your not in the right mode in the right lighting it will take a bad picture...For me it takes wonderful pictures, Ive taken a picture of my daughter in her baby swing while it was swinging on setting 4 which at that point I have to time the shot so I get her in view....BING!!! absolutely clear picture on a moving target!!So how can it take that bad a pictures for so many people? I think the instructions would be a great place to start looking then....Or the cd that also comes with it to tell you how to work the functions that are not in the manual...First posting: I was looking for something to take the precious moments of our newborns life in photography and video...We searched and we thought we would take a shot at this finepix s3200 and well after spotting many others we are very happy with our choice...I am an amateur at this but This camera is the best I\'ve ever owned, Right out of the box it has settings for everything with night and day settings, face capture, stabalized for movement and it also has aiuto red eye detect...Not to mention the zoom is absolutely great... I caught a single corn stalk over the top of the field and it zoned in on that one stalk and blurred the rest out for one of the best shots i\'ve ever taken....Not to mention the pure fact that this camera for us normal people is the right choice just for the simple fact that it takes perfect pictures indoors and at night! The flash is marvelous and it gives the photo the look of being taken during the day...You cant go wrong, batteries, neckstrap, and lens cap included with all box and packaging factory brand new!
- I\'m no photographer and couldn\'t tell you one whit about what makes a good picture and what makes a good camera. Nevertheless I needed a camera to document those family vacations and embarrassing family events. The FinePix S3200 promised to deliver features beyond my artistic capabilities at an acceptable price point. It arrived in March 2011 and seemed to deliver. The features were easy to use and the pictures looked great! Then everything went horribly wrong! After testing the camera and determining that it functioned as advertised I packed it back up in its box and placed it in the closet until it would be needed. Eight months later I pulled it out of the box so that a friend could grab some candid photos at our wedding. Upon powering the camera on the view screen promptly advised that it be turned off. After following this advice a few times I decided to declare shenanigans and do the usual troubleshooting. Remove the lens cover, check. Remove batteries, check. Remove memory card, check...Then I called their support department.
This guy was a genius, and so polite too. . Here\'s what he had me do: Remove the lens cover. When that extensive troubleshooting failed to resolve the problem he advised that I contact their repair department. Evidently he can\'t setup a repair for me and he can\'t transfer me to their repair department because the repair department is only open Monday through Friday.I contacted the repair department and here\'s the gist of what they said: \"[just ship it to us with a letter and we\'ll call you back].\" Glad I had to call for this info. Oh, and in case you\'re wondering how you proved you talked to anyone - you don\'t. You just ship that bad boy off to a black hole somewhere and hope for the best. You\'ve already dropped three bones on this defective doodad so its not like you stand to lose more, right? The camera was delivered to FujiFilm\'s repair center 1.5 weeks ago and no call. So I picked up the phone and dialed up that black hole. They were unable to find the package. Color me surprised. The attendant at the black hole advised me that they are behind on their camera repairs, so it could just be that they have not yet scanned it into their system.Until now I was unaware that they had a system So there you go.. Breaks in less than 15 hours of use. Goes to a black hole for repairs. May or may not ever be seen again.Great product - I purchased this camera several months ago and just noticed that there is no provision to add screw mount filters like a UV or polarizing filter. I did not check at the time but at this price point I would have expected this ability on a mid range bridge camera. I bought this as a travel camera so I would not need to carry three lenses and a camera around. I really liked the polarizing filters ability to give deep blue skys and white fluffy clouds in landscape shots. I had wanted to add a UV filter as protection but will have to do without these. Is it a good camera yes, would I have looked for another camera in order to get a filter mount Yes. I wanted a camera that used AA batteries after a charger for a lithium battery pack failed while in England for 3 months backpacking and traveling by bus a replacement was a 3 week wait and it would have cost over 100 GBP. Fortunatley I had a short zoom point and shoot that used AA batteries but I lost the ability for wide angle shots a necessity with the narrow streets of London and english villages. AA batteries are available everywhere inexpensivley. If I travel with a DSLR I will take a back up charger and a half dozen battery packs. I will be buying something else before my next trip in 2013 that has a filter screw mount.
