  • I bought the Kodak AZ901 to rekindle the photography bug that I had but couldn\'t really express with my current camera. I kept researching for a while for the best and affordable camera. I decided to settle on the Kodak AZ901 to see if this would satisfy me.Day One: I looked at the vast features it has and took a couple shots at various things around the house and noticed that the auto focus is a bit odd to control as well as the ring around the lens. It took a while to get a shot that I was pretty okay with. An annoying thing about the Kodak AZ901 is that the macro mode isn\'t a set option to keep on and it\'s limited to the lowest zoom, it can\'t capture the details for a object that is far away. Unless I can invest for a tripod, it\'s agitating to deal with.Day Two: Took some more shots but noticed the gold band around the lens started to come off the camera. I put a tiny, thin piece of tape to secure the gold head. Wish that the gold band was metal with a clear, smooth like coating to give a premium feel. Perhaps I\'m asking too much.I took some videos with the camera to test it and while a great quality for as the visuals, the sound quality could have been improve with the option for a microphone port or something. If you even lightly move the camera during filming, you\'ll hear the mechanisms of the camera in the video. JK Imaging (or Kodak.) could have adjust the microphone in a place that even wind wouldnt affect the sound quality of the video.I\'m currently deciding about if the Kodak AZ901 is really for me. I do like its design and it\'s heavy in my hands which I don\'t mind. I\'ll give it a week to decide.Update 10/20/19I have returned the camera due to some freezing issues and other reasons. It was a good camera but it\'s best to have this camera as a second camera more than a primary camera. The video on it still impress me so I\'ll give it that.
  • 24-1980mm zoom is an excellent selling point. A tripod or monopod is essential when shooting at focal lengths longer than 1000mm even with image stablizer. More over, optical-zoom only is short and with digital zoom is really in-camera image enlargement. Definition is poor in further cropping or enlarging. If getting a picture, even though of poor image quality, is better than having no picture at all, than there is a place in your photographic life for this and other super bridge cameras.
  • After reading all kinds of bad and mixed reviews I still chose the Kodak over the Nikon p900/950 and the Lumix FZ80. My roomie has had nothing but problems with his P900 in focusing and image stabilization, and it has been repaired twice. The lack of the articulated LCD screen hurts the Panasonic. Anyhow, I searched and found some great phots taken with this camera of wildlife, plants and landscapes which made my decision easy. I take the same kind of shots. Here are the first, taken around 4:45 pm, so low light, and using the optical and digital zoom, handheld! I am impressed with the image stabilization and low light capabilities. Some image cropping, but otherwise, no post shot enhancement.
  • As the judge here, I need more practice on some of the settings. Trying to connect the wifi has been frustrating..... maybe user error. Still haven’t figured it out yet.As other users have said. You will need extra batteries ........ the one that comes with camera doesn’t last very long. Probably why they recommend as a package. You need a tripod..... this puppy is a lot to handle to keep still in taking a picture.I need to find good software to play around with the photos.I like the camera, not quite sure yet, what I’mGoing to do.
  • I do not like this camera. I paid twice for this that I paid for a smaller Kodak camera that does 480 dpi (dots or pixels per inch). I cannot figure out nor find out if this one will do more than 72 dpi . . . the quality of the photos isn\'t what I expected from a Kodak product. I took six photos of a kitten in my lap -- according to the way the camera operated, there were six photos taken -- but only one was on the memory card. And, with my dadblamed luck, I waited too long to return it so I am stuck with a camera I don\'t like and in the past two or three years, I cannot find anyone who can answer questions I have about dpi on cameras. I get the so many pixels wide BS but that IS NOT what I want to know . . . I hate technology. Not too fond of people who can\'t -- or won\'t -- answer questions.
  • I haven\'t owned a zoom lens in years. I\'m enjoying the zoom on this. The picture effect options are fun even though I\'m not sure how often I\'ll really use them.I am very unhappy with the 3 minute timer that turns the camera off to save the battery, which I understand but I\'m going to see if I can disable that feature.I\'m still not 100% \"fluent\" in using the WiFi feature which is the reason we chose this one.Minor issue, disappointed that I ended up spending $30.00 to have my own printed copy of the 138 page manual.
  • The results from this camera almost equate with the Sony Alpha 6000 and Sony 18-200mm Lens which I bought back in 2014 for three times as much. The lens on this camera, while sharp enough for most purposes, does not yield resolution quite as fine as the Sony. For my purposes, except for enlargements of landscapes, the lens on the Kodak is better than adequate. This camera is fun to use with a firm ergonomic grip design, a viewfinder in addition to the LCD screen, good controls and a menu which is reasonably simple to navigate. There is one odd limitation which I did not expect: the aperture does not close down smaller than f/7.4, and I would prefer at least f/16 for landscapes.
  • the beast as i call it ,has great zoom vs my nikon 65x,one thing to remember is all those lenses have to go back in somewhere, where ?you ask, into the end of the camera making it quite un balanced and difficult to get a good focus, without a mono pod to support all the front weight
