- I personally have a Canon PowerShot s5 IS that is still going strong after 10 years. It\'s for that reason that I was looking at the canons in the first place. I bought this as a birthday gift for my wife. I poured hours of research on the perfect camera for her and I feel I made the right choice.This canera is very nice. The zoom on it is outstanding!!!! She has small hands and the grip is perfect. It\'s also not very heavy so it won\'t cuase to much cramping or soreness after long periods of use. The picture clarity for closeup shots is very good. And the fact that you can connect it to WiFi is good for easy photo transfers.There are a few things I don\'t like about it. The aperture is limited and there is no viewfinder on it only the screen. The shutter speed is a little slow. So for fast moving action shots it may not do do great.But overall I feel it\'s the perfect camera for the casual hobbyist. And I would certainly reccomend it to anyone who is looking for a camera in the 200 - 300 follar range
- I simply don\'t like the short battery life for recordings. It could be much better if that were improved. I record tennis lessons and I can\'t get through a single one hour session.
- But I\'ve only owned 3, Nonetheless very nice camera I have no complaints although there is no audio playback on the camera or I dont know what i\'m doing
- Received defective item that had some kind of lens flare inside the lens that was non serviceable. Being that I don\'t know everything about cameras I tried to do what the manufacturer recommended and go to the troubleshooting techniques along with purchasing new batteries and other things to try to help fix the issue but alas it was not fixed. While waiting for troubleshooting methods to take place I surpassed the appointed return time that this company offers or this Merchant I should say and they made me pay to ship it back even though it was defective and they mearly put Return to Sender and wasted my money for returning it. So now I have a camera that doesn\'t work and I\'m out of the time that they a lot to return it because of their troubleshooting techniques and the time it took to receive the items to try to fix the problem. I would not recommend this company or this camera to anybody as it has done nothing but cost me the cost of the camera and the $200 in accessories that I purchased for it that are all useless to me now. Terrible experience huge waste of money extremely disappointed and upset
- I love this camera. Takes really good photos and the zoom function allowed me to get up close and personal with an eagle nest in Iowa. I would recommend that buyers get extra batteries so you don\'t run out of juice while getting snap happy. And buy a carrying case/bag and a tripod. I have already recommended this camera purchase to several of my friends.
- Took this with me to Germany, no protective case just the bare camera. Held up great! Takes great pictures and is easy to use. If you\'re an amateur picture taker who wants something better than a cell phone (I love the 50x optical zoom, great for wildlife) this is a great camera. And it\'s very easy to get the pictures on the laptop with a wifi connection.
- For a remanufactured camera it was a great price. I used it for my close up shots in and out doors. Easy to carry. It came with a cheap shoulder strap that keep sliding off. So I invested in an $8.00 canon strap and it stays where I place it. Again a great buy at $248.00.
- Takes wonderful pics! Purchased the case with it...definitely worth the cost.
