- So it\'s not the sleekest, coolest, over the top with editing features and filters camera but, it is Sturdy, easy to use, has both video (w/pause function) and photo capabilities and you don\'t need a tripod to use it. I bought this camera for everyday use because I got tired of using my phone for everything. Yes! I\'m that person that takes pics at every family function and then forgets to download, separate and send them out to the family. Thus, leaving my phone overloaded with pictures for like years. That being said...I bought the camera so I can take pics/video easily download them without having to worry about what else might get downloaded (you what I mean. Don\'t act like I\'m the only one that has sent out a pic or 2, that never should have seen the light of day let alone, by family...jussayin) in addition, to the fact, I got tired of paying my carrier for more cloud storage. so this seems to be the safest, simplest solution. As a mixed race family, it\'s safe to say that there will always be at least 3 very different skin tones in every pic. I\'m sorry to say that not all cameras treat this problem equally. What problem you may ask? The problem of making sure that the lighter complexions aren\'t completely washed out or worse, reflecting whichever color the person next to them are wearing (very bad during ugly sweater season). Or, making the darker complexions just ...dark. No shadows, depth, just eyes and teeth. Then the middle complexions, like myself always look sick, ashy and jaundice because we end up in the middle of the other 2 extremes...it\'s not good. This camera adjusts for these simple but, very important details.Anyone can use it and you won\'t be mad if the curious kids want to use it and it accidentally drops or is misplaced for a moment or 2. Unlike ones phone, where if it\'s lost, broken or gets into the wrong hands feels like the world may end until it\'s safely back in your hands with 2 code authentication and password protected.Because of it\'s simplicity, kids can use it. I think it\'s a good teaching tool and takes decent pictures. No they aren\'t your iPhone pics but, they are a nice quality and can be uploaded and filtered and fiddled with anyway you please. As I said earlier I think the best quality is the distinction between complexions that you don\'t always get, it\'s sturdy enough for kids handle and easy to use.If you are looking for something to film a movie or create pic that\'ll be shown at the Ghetty...this isn\'t for you.If you are looking for something easy to handle, with all the features that you will need to create great memories or teach another, before moving on to a more expensive tool then, this is what you want. The price is decent and so is the camera.
- The Verdict: Pull the trigger. It\'s a great value. You can\'t get something else this feature rich at this price point.Review/Thoughts: Bought for my son for his idea of being a content creator. *Essential* features for my purchase (should be most) was the flip out screen & mic input. This way you can always tell your in frame without an external monitor. Mic input is good for a lav mic or if you plan to run & gun with vlogging, since it has a hot shoe for your more professional rode mic.Video quality is really nice. I think YouTube algorithm favors 4k. Which is why I went for the 4k camera. I like to fine tune the colors/saturation in post. My son feels it\'s fine out the box. But the look is subjective. Your mileage may vary.This camera isn\'t my daily. So some items I can\'t speak on. But my son has had hundreds of hours of use. The buttons feel tactile\'ish. The half press for focus is super nice. Camera grip is a nice add. The body is pretty plastic\'y feeling, which is where you notice that this is a budget camera. That\'s not a big deal since it\'ll spend most it\'s life on a tripod or selfish stick. Oh and the lcd bezels are the size of a 10 year old plasma TV bezel. Really, the only reason not to get this camera is if you need interchangeable lenses for different shots. But you\'re spending 5-10 times the cost of this camera.
- I recently purchased this digital camera and I have been blown away by its performance. The camera is incredibly user-friendly and the picture quality is pretty great when used properly. Here are some of the things that I absolutely love about this camera:The camera feels great in my hand, with a comfortable grip and well-placed buttons and dials. The tilting LCD screen is also a nice touch, making it easy to compose shots from different angles.The autofocus is easy to use and it was quite fun playing around with the settings this camera boasts.All in all, before dropping a few hundred bucks on a hobby you might drop in a few weeks, go with this camera to get started!
- My daughter had been using my old digital camera from like 10 years ago and had been complaining about it being glitchy and old! I set out to find her a new camera that would work better for her!To Amazon I went! I wanted something affordable and user friendly since she is 10 years old. But I didn’t want something that just felt cheap and wouldn’t last her more than a year. I purchased this camera. We got it as a Christmas present so I waited a few months to see how the camera usage, battery life, and quality played out. We couldn’t be more HAPPY WITH IT! She loves it!!! Doesn’t complain about this one being glitchy at all! Battery life is amazing and the quality is really great for the price of the camera. I’m a photographer so even though this was just for my daughter I couldn’t help but to look at the actual quality of the photos. And I was so pleasantly surprised that the quality of the images was great! I wouldn’t definitely recommend this camera for any young adults or adults that are wanting a good quality camera for the price!
- Got this camera for my 12 yr old daughter that likes to vlog and record herself when she plays sims 4. It’s perfect for her. The picture quality isn’t top tier but it’s good enough for a child. And I like that the screen flips so she can see herself when she records. Battery life is pretty good too!
- I was pleasantly surprised by this nice little camera. Great features like a timer and interchangeable lens capability. Plenty of settings but easy to use. Good quality photos and videos though it can be hard to keep it in focus if your hand isn’t steady enough. Easy to use with a tripod and selfie stick tripod. I never write reviews but I was so pleased with this retro looking camera I thought it deserved one! It comes with two batteries which is nice because the life of one battery seems quite short.
