- The A7R3 is getting a little dated but it\'s still a great camera that can take fantastic photos. The camera is smaller than DSLR\'s with more technology. The firmware update for animal eye autofocus is okay but not as good as later model Sony mirrorless cameras (in my opinion). This is a camera that can be used by professional photographers and also by serious hobbyist/enthusiast photographers. With the right glass you can achieve fantastic photos. It\'s not perfect by any means though which is why it\'s not a 5 star in my mind. The display screen is average. I don\'t care that it doesn\'t flip but not having touch access is inconvenient. For the price the screen should be a touch screen. I like this camera better than the A7R4 which I found really difficult to get extra sharp photos. Any slight mistake made by the photographer is exacerbated by the high mega pixels.
- I loved the camerfa when it was working, but pictures taken during my last trip are ALL blurry regardless of what lens I used--I have Sony 24-105 and 70-300. As long as you view them on a regular computer screen they seem ok but once you start enlarging the lack of fine details is immediately noticeble. So basicvally none of the pictures--including infuriatingly the ones from the Wave are of any use
- This camera is amazing. Ive been using and upgrading Sony mirrorless cameras since 2011 and they never disappoint. from sony nex5n to sony nex7 to A7 ,a7rii and finally a7riii. Im glad i stuck w Sony through out this journey and looking forward to new models in the future. Im able to see a difference between the rii and riii in terms of image quality, feel of camera , focus speed and overall performance. For those photos enthusiasts I highly recommend
- The battery base they put in this package is NOT SONY and it does NOT work with this camera. In fact it causes ALL KINDS of problems. I fought this cameras operation for a month. It would randomly pop up menus. I had write errors to my cards and LOST PHOTOS. I finally called sony and spend an hour and a half with them. They were ready to take my brand new camera in for repair because they couldn\'t figure it out, then I had the bright idea to check operation with out the battery base. It worked fine and Sony verified that the base was a non-sony aftermarket part. When I looked up the correct part number on Amazon, I found it was a $348! part. Beach camera would not help me because I finally figured out it was the problem after the 45 day warranty. NOT GOOD BUSINESS TO SELL PRODUCTS THAT ARE\'NT ACTUALLY COMPATIBLE WITH THE CAMERA, THEN SAY SCREW YOU TO THE CUSTOMER. I\'m taking the time to put my review out there everywhere possible so this frustration doesn\'t happen to anyone else.
- I\'ve been use this camera for 8 months now and I just love it. The eye auto-focus is truly amazing. Wonderful focusing and customization modes make it super easy to change depending on what you\'re shooting. I switched from Canon 80D and zero regrets.
- As a wedding / portrait photography this camera has been a game changer! Love it!! I used Nikon for almost 20 years and now have made a total switch to Sony! (A7R3, A73, & A9) but this A7R3 is outstanding!!
- The pixel shift is super sensitive to any vibrations, but the rest of the features are worthwhile enough that even in shaky situations, I love this. Used it for a product shoot last week and couldn\'t have done it without
